Implementation of the federal project “Forest Preservation” in 2022 was discussed at the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District
Today, the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District held a meeting via videoconference on the implementation of the federal project “Forest Preservation” of the national project “Ecology” in 2022. It was held by the Deputy Head of the Department Sergey Kovalev.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the forestry management bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the issues of achieving the target indicators of the federal project “Forest Preservation” in 2022, carrying out reforestation, ensuring fire safety in forests, purchasing silvicultural, forest fire equipment, and specialized equipment were considered.
Recall that the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” set 2 target indicators “The ratio of the area of reforestation and afforestation to the area of cutting down and dead forest plantations, %” and “Damage from forest fires, million rubles”. The projected value of the first indicator for 2022 is 83.4%. According to the project, this year in Tatarstan it is planned to carry out reforestation on an area of 3.6 thousand hectares.
Additional indicators of the project are “Stock of seeds of forest plants for reforestation and afforestation, kg” and “Amount of grown planting material of forest plants, thousand pieces”. Their design values for this year are 11,455 kg of seeds and 30,863 thousand seedlings, respectively.
