1.2 million seedlings were planted in Tatarstan as part of the International Action “Garden of Memory”
Today, the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the International Action “Garden of Memory”, dedicated to the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The central events of the action took place in the city of Kazan on the territory of the Kazan Higher Tank Command Order of the Zhukov Red Banner School and in the city of Innopolis in the park near the technoparks named after Lobachevsky and Popov.
On the first site, 200 pine and linden seedlings were planted. The event was attended by the First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Department for Work with the Territories of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilnur Garipov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Gafarov, Head of the School, Major General Kirill Kulakov, employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.
At the second site in the city of Innopolis, 200 seedlings of spruce, pine, linden, birch, and mountain ash were planted. The mayor of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleev, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, specialists of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the action.
Near the city of Kazan, the action was held at 4 more sites - on the territory of Matyushinsky, Stolbishchensky, Vysokogorsky, and Iske-Kazansky district forestries of the Prigorodnoye forestry. In general, 1.2 million seedlings were planted in the Republic of Tatarstan today in memory of the great feat of 378 thousand Tatarstan residents who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends. More than 30 thousand people joined the action.

The organizers of the International Action “Garden of Memory” are ANO “Garden of Memory”, the All-Russian Public Movement “Volunteers of Victory” and the Victory Generals Memorial Fund with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency.
The purpose of the action is to plant 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War.
