Experimental crops of Scotch pine were planted on the territory of the Prikamsky district forestry of the Kamsky forestry. The work was carried out by specialists of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kamsky forestry” and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kamsky forestry enterprise”. Fedor Ilyin, a senior researcher at the East European Forest Experimental Station, a branch of the FBU VNIILM, also took part in the planting.
“Seedlings of forest species were planted with ordinary alternation (pine, acacia, birch, and amorphous shrub). The total planting area was 1 hectare,” said head forester Albert Shamilov. “Subsequently, it is planned to study the growth and productivity of planted woody plants in this area. Also, special attention will be paid to the resistance of plantings to windfall, snowfall, snowfall, damage by insect pests and phytopathogens.”
