Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers!
On behalf of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on the holiday - Victory Day!
This holiday has become a symbol of the spiritual unity of our people, its unbending will, heroism, courage, and perseverance. Decades pass, and generations change, but the memory of the Great Victory, military glory, and devotion to the Motherland remains in the heart of each of us. We are indebted to our heroes who fought valiantly on the fields of this merciless war and selflessly worked in the rear, bringing Victory closer.
During the war years, about 700 thousand people left the republic for the front. Tatarstan was one of the most important regions for the production of military equipment, and more than 100 plants, factories, and research institutes were evacuated here. A significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability was also made by workers in the forest industry, who supplied firewood and commercial timber, skis, rifle stocks, boxes for mines and cartridges, and cuttings for sapper shovels and other necessary products to the front.
Dear veterans and home front workers, the historical scale and significance of your feat is timeless. A low bow to you and the deepest gratitude for everything that you have done for us. With all my heart I wish you and your loved ones good health, happiness and prosperity, and long and peaceful years of life!
