Veterans of the Great Patriotic War: Minnekhanov Samigulla Minnekhanovich

On the eve of the great holiday - Victory Day, we share the story of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, forestry worker Minnekhanov Samigulla Minnekhanovich.

Samigulla Minnekhanovich Minnekhanov was born on June 1, 1923, in the village of Bersut-Sukachi, Kzyl-Yulduz district (now Mamadysh district). He grew up in a large family: there were 12 children, and only five survived. Education - 4 classes. From the age of 10, Samigulla began working on a collective farm.

He went to the front on March 16, 1942. Until April 14, he was in a reserve regiment in Suslonger, near Kazan, and on that day some of them were loaded onto trains and sent to the Smolensk region. It took four days to get from Ternopil on foot to Smolensk.

The veteran began his service in the 234th division named after Lomonosov, the 1340th rifle regiment of submachine gunners in units under the command of Lieutenant General Konstantin Rokossovsky. After heavy Smolensk fighting, their unit was disbanded and sent to Western Ukraine, they liberated the city of Kovel. Samigulla Minnekhanov participated in the crossing of the Vistula River, the liberation of Poland.

On March 16, 1945, they reached Germany already under the command of commander Georgy Zhukov. During the capture of the city of Stetten, Samigulla Minnekhanov was wounded in the shoulder. Only 60 kilometers did not reach Berlin.

He met Victory Day in the hospital of the Polish city of Kotna. Then he was sent to Belarus, the city of Grodno, to the 30th separate army tank regiment as a loader. He served there until March 1947.

He was awarded medals “For Courage” in 1943 and 1944. He was demobilized with the rank of senior sergeant in April 1947.

Married in 1949. Wife - Magsuma Iskhakovna Iskhakova. In 1954 they arrived at the Kama timber industry enterprise. There, Samigulla Minnekhanov worked as a minder-feller until June 1, 1978. He was a shock worker of socialist labor for seven years, listed in the Book of Honor in 1974.

His photograph adorned the Hall of Fame from 1975 to 1977. Together with his wife, they raised and raised four daughters. Now he lives with his daughter: in the summer in his native village, and the winter they move to Naberezhnye Chelny.
