Specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan started work on assessing the state of forest seed production facilities

Specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan have begun work on assessing the state of forest seed production facilities. So, today Rustem Mukhametshin, the leading consultant of the reforestation and afforestation department, visited the Tetyushsky municipal district. There he examined the forest-seed plot located on the territory of division 2 of the quarter 10 of the Uryum district forestry of the Tetyush forestry. The area of this site is 10 hectares.

During the survey, the state of forest plantations was assessed. Particular attention was paid to their productive capacity, the presence of signs of damage by forest pests, etc.

Recall that the purpose of creating forest seed facilities is to provide reforestation work with seeds with improved hereditary properties. To date, the total area of permanent forest seed plots available in the Republic of Tatarstan is 1251 hectares, and forest seed plantations are 91 hectares. The main share of these areas is occupied by English oak - 89%, Scotch pine - 7%, European spruce - 3%, and Siberian larch - 1%.
