Employees of the Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan started work on state forest pathological monitoring

Employees of the branch of the FBU “Roslesozashchita” “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” have begun work on state forest pathological monitoring on the lands of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the plan, in 2022, regular ground-based observations of the sanitary and forest-pathological state of forests will be carried out at 199 permanent observation points on an area of 1 million hectares and selective ground-based observations on an area of 13,000 hectares. In addition, selective terrestrial observations of pest populations on an area of 10.3 thousand hectares will be carried out by forest pathologists.

The data obtained will be reflected in the review of the sanitary and forest pathological state of the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2022. This document will present the state of the forests of the republic, the volume of weakened and damaged plantations, determine the main reasons for the weakening of plantations, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of forest pests, etc.
