Pupils of the school forestry “Lesovichok” completed seasonal work in the school nursery
Pupils of the school forestry “Lesovichok” MBOU “Cheremshansky lyceum” of the Cheremshansky district performed seasonal work in the school nursery. So, at the end of last week, the guys sowed seeds of common spruce on an area of 8 square meters and cared for one-year and two-year crops. Mars Rakhimzyanov, district forester of the Kazankinsky district forestry of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Cheremshansky forestry”, helped the students.
“We pay special attention to the work in the nursery, because through practical activities you can most effectively learn the basics of silviculture,” said Mars Rakhimzyanov. “The guys themselves prepare the seeds, sow them and take care of the crops, if necessary, water the seedlings. Thus, students understand that it is in the nursery that the future of “green wealth” is laid. After all, the productivity and quality of the created forest plantations largely depend on what kind of planting material will be grown.”
