Nizhnekamsk school forestry “Friends of the Forest” became the winner of the grant competition “Formula of the Forest” by SIBUR
The results of the grant competition for schools and school forestries within the framework of the Forest Formula project of the SIBUR social investment program Formula of Good Deeds have been summed up. The winner from the Republic of Tatarstan was the project of the school forestry “Friends of Nature” MBOU “Krasnoklyuchinsky secondary school” of the Nizhnekamsk region.
In the forest park area of the village of Krasny Klyuch, activists of the school forestry, students of art schools, residents, and guests of the city of Nizhnekamsk will join the action “Tales of the Forest - Dendrograffiti to Protect the Forest”. They will draw images of forest flora and fauna in open frost cracks in oaks, which should help the trees to become healthy, as well as decorate walking routes popular with visitors to the forest park.
“We are very pleased that SIBUR has decided to support our project. We expect that the results will quickly bear fruit: the townspeople will be able to get acquainted with the work of local artists, more teenagers will join the volunteer movement, and, of course, the condition of our suburban forests will improve,” says the head of the Friends of Nature school forestry, methodologist of the MBU DO “Children’s Ecological and Biological Center” of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Rimma Lutskova.
In total, 54 applications were submitted for the grant competition, of which 16 winners were determined. The works were evaluated by representatives of SIBUR, experts from the Formula of Good Deeds program, and Birds and People, a non-profit partnership to promote the development of ornithology.
