Today, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov held a meeting via videoconference on ensuring fire safety in forests. The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, the manager of affairs, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, heads of forestries of forestries, directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov made the keynote speech. “In order to ensure fire safety in the forests, space, ground and aviation monitoring of the fire hazard situation continues,” he said. “According to the information system for remote monitoring of the Federal Forestry Agency, this year, as of July 12, 320 thermal points were registered on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. 23 air patrols were carried out with a total duration of 123 hours and 40 minutes.”
The First Deputy Minister recalled that the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated July 8, 2022 No. 655 in Tatarstan introduced restrictions on the stay of citizens in forests and the entry of vehicles into them from July 8 to 21 calendar days. Restrictions are set for forests located on the lands of the forest fund within the boundaries of Aksubaevsky, Alkeevsky, Apastovsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Kaybitsky, Pestrechinsky municipal districts and the city of Kazan.
“In connection with the high class of fire danger in the forests, the Ministry initiated an appeal to amend this resolution and introduce restrictions in other municipalities of the republic,” added Ilgizar Zaripov.
Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the results of the meeting. He gave the heads of subordinate institutions a number of instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund, organizing round-the-clock duty, temporary posts in places of mass visits to forests on weekends, installing warning notices about the introduction of restrictions and the period of its validity, etc.
“The main cause of forest fires is still the human factor. It is important to carry out systematic propaganda explanatory work among the population on compliance with the requirements of fire safety rules in forests,” Ravil Kuzyurov emphasized. “Our common goal is to get through the fire season as normal, without emergencies.”
