Today Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov paid a working visit to Zainsky and Sarmanovsky municipal districts.
In the Zainsky district, the minister assessed the results of the work performed on reforestation, fire-fighting arrangement of forests and care for young forests in quarters 4 and 5 of the Kushnikovsky district forestry of the Zainsky forestry. When inspecting the objects, he was accompanied by the forest ranger Irina Zabrodina and the forestry director Ranil Muhammadiev. Irina Zabrodina said that this year, on the territory of the Zainsky forestry, reforestation was carried out on an area of 193 hectares, 40 km of new mineralized firebreaks were created and the existing barriers with a total length of 165 km were maintained.
After that, Ravil Kuzyurov inspected the administrative building of the forestry, a type II forest fire station and the production base of JSC Forest Transport Company.
In conclusion, the minister inspected the condition of the crops in the basic forest nursery, located in quarter 69 of the Zainsky district forestry. In the same place, a meeting was held with the teams of the Zainsky forestry and the Zainsky forestry enterprise. Within its framework, the results of the work performed for the 1st half of 2022 were considered and tasks for the upcoming period were identified.
In the Sarmanovsky district, Ravil Kuzyurov, accompanied by the head of the municipal district Farit Khusnullin, assessed the quality of the planted protective forest plantations near the village of Murtysh Bash and the village of Kulmetyevo. Rafis Galiullin, head of the Aznakaevsky forestry, and Eduard Chikurov, director of the Aznakaevsky forestry, also took part in the inspection.
The minister was told that over the past 3 years, such plantings have been created on the territory of the Sarmanovsky district on an area of 51.7 hectares, including this year - 10.7 hectares.
Ravil Kuzyurov instructed the specialists to continue systematic work on laying protective forest plantations. “Currently, the forest cover of the Sarmanovsky district is only 6%. We can increase this figure through protective afforestation,” he said.
