Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, representatives of executive authorities and organizations, chairmen and members of commissions of municipal districts of the republic took part in the work.
Sergey Zakharov, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov and Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Sergeev made presentations at the meeting.
First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov recalled that in part of the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, restrictions were imposed on the stay of citizens in forests and the entry of vehicles into them from July 8 to 21 calendar days. The measures are established by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated July 8, 2022 No. 655 (as amended on July 14, 2022 No. 675). “Taking into account the fact that in the near future the air temperature in the daytime will warm up to 31˚С in the shade, it is predicted that the IV class of fire hazard may be established in other areas. In this case, amendments to the resolution may be adopted and restrictions may be introduced in other municipalities, depending on the situation,” he informed.
According to the resolution, the specialists of the forest industry of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out work on the installation of warning notices about the introduction of restrictions, the period of its validity and the blocking of forest roads with barriers. “In order to ensure fire safety in the forests, round-the-clock duty has been organized in subordinate institutions, patrolling in forest areas has been strengthened, temporary posts have been organized in places of mass visits to forests on weekends,” Ilgizar Zaripov emphasized. “In general, the full readiness of fire extinguishing forces and equipment, including reserve ones, was ensured for prompt response to reports of fires and forest fires.”
The First Deputy Minister said that 20 type II forest fire stations, 5 type III forest fire stations and 14 fire equipment concentration points ensure fire safety in the forest. Currently, in the Republic of Tatarstan, space, aviation and ground-based monitoring of a fire hazard situation is being carried out, a set of measures is being carried out for fire-fighting arrangement of forests, agitation and explanatory work is being carried out among the population on compliance with fire safety rules in forests, and the regional dispatch service of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” is also working around the clock.
