Today Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov met with the President of the Association of Timber Manufacturers of the Central Region of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Ildus Garaev. The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, director of Polygraph LLC Dmitry Pimenov and others.
Having greeted the guests, Ravil Kuzyurov briefed the delegation on the state of the forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the priority tasks facing the industry specialists. In particular, he said that the total area of the republic's lands occupied by forests is 1 million 268 thousand hectares, the forest cover is 17.5%.
The forest complex management system is represented by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and subordinate institutions (31 State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forestry”, 31 State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Leskhoz”, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Lubyansky Forestry Engineering College” and State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”). The total number of employees in the forest industry is 2.5 thousand people, the minister added.
“Tatarstan pays special attention to protective afforestation, digitalization of the forest industry, updating the material and technical base of industry institutions, and measures are being taken to support young forestry professionals,” concluded Ravil Kuzyurov.
Ildus Garayev thanked those present for the warm welcome. He spoke about the state of the forest complex of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the structure and main activities of the association, ongoing projects and the main tasks for the coming period.
Further, during the meeting, issues of reforestation, cultivation of standard planting material, protection of forests from fires, etc. were discussed.
After the meeting, the representatives of the delegation visited the Forest Museum and the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, located in the village. Forestry Sabinsky municipal district.
