In early September, the autumn silvicultural season of 2022 will open in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, it is planned to create protective forest plantations on agricultural land on an area of 30 hectares, prepare sites for the creation of next year forest crops on an area of 1404.5 hectares and prepare at least 20 thousand kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species.
Currently, the country continues to carry out work to promote natural reforestation, agrotechnical care of forest crops, clearing deadwood and selective logging in field-protective forest plantations.
For reference. Earlier in 2022, reforestation and afforestation was carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of 2865.1 hectares. Of these, planting forest crops - on 2760.5 hectares, afforestation - on 104.6 hectares, combined reforestation - on 4 hectares, natural reforestation - on 1344 hectares. Protective forest plantations were also laid on agricultural lands on an area of 1539 hectares.
