Pupils of the school forestry “Forest bees” participate in the meeting “Festival of Safety” in Karelia
On the basis of the active recreation center “Yalgora” in the Republic of Karelia, the All-Russian meeting of scouts-scouts “Safety Festival” is being held. The event gathered more than 800 participants from different parts of our country. Members of the school forestry “Forest bees” of MBOU “Secondary school No. 3” of the Bugulma district also joined the rally.
Participants are tested in mountain, hiking and water tourism. The creative program also includes a fair, acquaintance with traditions and games from the regions of the Russian Federation, a trip with tasks from the heroes of the Karelian epic Kalevala, etc.
Yesterday, on August 4, as part of the rally, the pupils of the “Forest bees” association visited the Karelian Center for Aviation and Ground Protection of Forests. During the meeting, the children learned about the work of the center, forest firefighters, pilot-observers, paratroopers and paratroopers-firefighters.
Alexander Sirotin, deputy head of the flight production service, introduced the students to the methods of extinguishing forest fires and the equipment of a parachutist-firefighter, the head of the regional dispatch service and communications service, Viktor Starovoitov, to the activities of the dispatch service.
At the end of the meeting, the schoolchildren saw the forest fire equipment and equipment, the purpose of which was told by the head of the Prionezhskaya LPS-3 Maxim Maksimov.
