The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan considered the issues of ensuring fire safety in forests

Today, the Ministry discussed issues of ensuring fire safety in forests. The meeting was held by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The meeting, which was held via videoconference, was attended by the Deputy Minister, Head of Affairs, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, heads of forestries of forestries, directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.

Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov made the keynote speech. “Hot and dry weather persists in Tatarstan. For example, today the IV class of fire danger is recorded in the prevailing territory, in the territory of Zainsky, Almetevsky, Kaibitsky, Apastovsky, Laishevsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Pestrechinsky, Nurlatsky, Alekseevsky, Aksubaevsky and Cheremshansky municipal districts - V class of fire danger in the forests,” said the deputy minister.

According to him, since the beginning of 2022, 407 thermal points have been registered in the republic. “In order to ensure fire safety in the forests, aviation and ground-based monitoring of the fire hazard situation is carried out, a set of measures is being taken for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests. To date, 36 air patrols have been carried out, the total flight time of which is 203 hours,” added Rais Gumerov.

He recalled that according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated 08.08.2022 No. 771, the Republic of Tatarstan introduced restrictions on the stay of citizens in forests and the entry of vehicles into them from August 9 to 21 calendar days. Restrictions are set for forests located on the lands of the forest fund of the republic.

Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the results of the meeting. He gave the heads of subordinate institutions a number of instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund, organizing duty, etc.

“Now is a responsible time, it is impossible to reduce control over ensuring fire safety in forests,” said Ravil Kuzyurov. “I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the peculiarities of the weather of the current year - warm summers and an abundance of precipitation contributed to the emergence of a high grass stand. It is necessary to take measures and ensure that the land owners mow the grass and clean the area adjacent to the forest in the autumn in order to prevent emergencies.”

In conclusion, the minister focused on the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the admission campaign at the Lubyanka Forestry College.
