On the territory of the forest fund of the Cheremshansky forestry, a set of measures is being taken for fire-fighting arrangement of forests. Within its framework, this year 20 km of new mineralized firebreaks were created and maintenance of existing barriers with a total length of 130 km was carried out.
“In connection with the established high class of fire hazard in the forests, work is currently underway to lay additional fire-fighting mineralized strips 4 meters wide along coniferous plantations,” said head forester Almaz Mutygullin. “All the forces of the Cheremshansky forestry and agricultural units are involved. In addition, assistance was provided by the oil company in the form of the allocation of heavy specialized equipment.”
According to him, also since the beginning of 2022, work on the construction and reconstruction of fire roads with a total length of 5 km has been carried out on the territory of the forestry, 25 stands, signs and signs containing information on fire safety measures in forests have been installed, and landscaping of 7 places has been carried out recreation of citizens staying in the forests.
