The state forest inspectors of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinsky forestry” have intensified explanatory work among the population on compliance with the requirements of fire safety rules in forests. So, these days, district foresters of the Menzelinsky and Aktanyshsky district forestries, together with employees of the territorial departments of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, conduct door-to-door rounds of private households of citizens whose land plots border on forest fund lands.

Within the framework of such meetings, experts tell citizens about the current forest fire situation in the Republic of Tatarstan, the current regime of restricting the stay of citizens in forests, remind them of the ban on making fires in forests and littering them with household and construction waste, as well as measures of responsibility for violating fire and sanitary safety requirements in forests.

“We regularly meet with residents of the settlements adjacent to the forest and distribute information leaflets, brochures on fire prevention,” said Airat Mingazov, head of the forest ranger of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinsky Forestry”. “In August, as part of the “Stop the Fire” campaign, more than 140 leaflets on fire prevention were distributed and more than 25 conversations were held with the population.”
