23 August 2022, Tuesday

Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting via videoconference, at which the tasks for the upcoming period were considered. The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, the manager of affairs, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, heads of forestries of forestries and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.

First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov made the keynote speech. “Hot and dry weather persists in Tatarstan. Today, in 22 municipal districts of the republic, the V class of fire danger in the forests is expected,” he noted. “At the same time, the forest fire situation is predicted to worsen during this week.”

The First Deputy Minister said that since the beginning of 2022, 428 thermal points have been registered on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Monitoring of fire danger in forests and fires is carried out by ground and air methods,” added Ilgizar Zaripov. “Also, let me remind you that currently there is a restriction on the stay of citizens in the forests and the entry of vehicles into them. If the forest fire situation does not improve, we will be forced to initiate an appeal on the need to extend the restrictions in September.”

Further, the First Deputy Minister dwelled on the implementation of federal state forest control (supervision) and forest protection. He said that in 2022, forestry specialists sent 1167 information letters to forest users about the need to comply with fire safety rules in forests, announced 13 warnings and provided 175 consultations. “In relation to individuals, 82 protocols were drawn up for violating the requirements of forest legislation,” Ilgizar Zaripov said.

Summing up the results of the meeting, the First Deputy Minister gave a number of instructions to the heads of subordinate institutions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund, the implementation of a set of measures for the fire-fighting arrangement of forests, etc. “There may be cases of fires of grass, stubble and stubble residues on agricultural lands. Therefore, it is impossible to reduce control over compliance with fire safety rules in forests,” he stressed.
