Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bavlinsky forestry” carry out work to care for crops in a forest nursery. “The range of activities includes loosening the soil, weed control, application of mineral fertilizers, spraying against diseases and pests,” says Veronika Bashkirova, director of the forestry enterprise. “Due to high temperatures, we have increased the watering of seedlings: the volume of water and the number of workers involved have been increased.”
“We pay special attention to the care of crops. After all, the efficiency of reforestation largely depends on the quality of standard planting material,” added Veronika Bashkirova. “In total, it is planned to grow at least 745,000 seedlings this year.”
