Employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan determined the economically feasible collection of seeds at forest seed production facilities

Employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with specialists from the branch of the FBU “Roslesozashchita” – “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan”, determined the economically feasible collection of seeds of small coniferous species at forest seed production facilities.

Based on the results of the survey, it was found that the economically feasible collection of seeds is 55 kg, including 45 kg of Scotch pine and 10 kg of European spruce.

Recall that in the Republic of Tatarstan, in order to provide reforestation with seeds with improved hereditary properties, there are forest seed plantations, which are located on an area of 91 hectares and permanent forest seed plots - 1251 hectares. The main share of these areas is occupied by English oak - 89%, Scots pine - 7%, European spruce - 3% and Siberian larch - 1%.
