Today, the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov held a “Lesson in numbers” on the topic “Quantum technologies” for the participants of the profile shift at the State Autonomous Institution “Volga Youth Center”.
During the lesson, Ilgizar Zaripov told the children about quantum physics, its differences from classical physics, quantum computers, qubits, etc.
“Quantum computers are focused on complex calculations that ordinary computers cannot handle. The development of full-fledged quantum computers will give a powerful impetus to the development of medicine, disease diagnosis and drug development through accurate modeling of the most complex chemical reactions and biological processes. There will also be a breakthrough in the defense, automotive and space industries. It will be a qualitatively different artificial intelligence,” the First Deputy Minister noted.
Recall that “Lessons in numbers” are held as part of the Year of Digitalization in the Republic of Tatarstan. The main goal of the project is to form the key competencies of the digital economy among schoolchildren, as well as to stimulate early career guidance for children in the field of information technology.
