Autumn silvicultural season opened in Tatarstan
The autumn silvicultural season is open in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises will have to carry out work to promote natural reforestation on an area of 754 hectares, lay protective forest plantations on agricultural land - on 30 hectares, supplement forest crops - on 2.5 thousand hectares and prepare the soil for forest crops next year - by 1.4 thousand hectares.
In addition, forest industry specialists plan to procure at least 20,000 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species and make an inventory of planting material in basic forest nurseries.
According to the department of reforestation and afforestation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of September 5 this year, 1232 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species were harvested, of which pine - 761 kg, spruce - 142 kg, larch - 25 kg, birch - 20 kg, linden - 34 kg, other breeds - 250 kg. Recall that the harvesting of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”.
