In 2013, on the Volga Federal District is planned for reforestation on the area 91.3 hectares , including on public contracts - 24.2 thousand ha ( 26%), due to forest users - 67.1 hectares ( 74%)

Carrying artificial regeneration is planned for the area 36.9 hectares ( 40 % of the total reforestation ) combined reforestation - 1.9 thousand hectares , promoting natural regeneration - 50.6 thousand ha.

At the beginning of July 2013 the work on artificial regeneration in the district performed on the area 34.2 hectares , accounting for 92.5 % of the plan , including for government contracts - 15 hectares , at the expense of forest users - 19, 2 hectares. Combined reforestation carried out in the area - 1.35 ha , accounting for 72 % of the plan .

In District 9 regions of Russia (Republic of Tatarstan , Udmurtia, Chuvashia Republic , Kirov , Nizhny Novgorod , Orenburg , Penza, Samara , Ulyanovsk region) artificial reforestation carried by 100 percent or more of the annual plan . In the Republic of Mordovia, the figure was 93.5 % , the Perm region - 89.1 % , Saratov Oblast - 87.7 %. Low levels of artificial reforestation marked in the Republic of Bashkortostan ( 68.2 % ) and the Republic of Mari El ( 76.2 %).

In the summer and autumn of the year in the regions of the district planned to complete the artificial regeneration ( 2.7 ha), and arrange for the combined reforestation (534 ha) , promoting natural regeneration ( 46,683 hectares) of forest plantations Supplement ( 9075 , 3 hectares ) and the preparation of the soil for crops next year ( 34,841.7 hectares).
