About the forest fire situation in the Volga Federal District

According to the press service of the Forestry Department in the Volga Federal District , from the beginning of the fire season (as of July 9, 2013 ) on the territory of forest land PFD recorded 474 forest fires in the area of ​​865 ha. The average area of one fire is 1.8 hectares

 

Within the county there is one case of a transition forest fire in the category of large ( in Perm 01.06.2013 an area 29.6 ha).

Most forests are burning noted in the Perm region , Kirov , Nizhny Novgorod region of the Udmurt Republic and the Republic of Bashkortostan - the share of the data subjects of the Russian Federation accounted for 76 % ( 359) in number and 91% ( 790 ) over the area of forest fires occurred in the county.

This year, forest fires are not permitted in the forest land in the Republic of Tatarstan and Chuvashia .

In comparison with the same period of last year has been an increase in the number of occurrence of fires 2 times ( 2012 - 223) , with the area covered by fires increased by 44% ( area traversed in 2012 598 hectares). The average area of ​​a fire in 2012 was 2.7 hectares, which is 1.5 times more than in the current year .

Efficiency of forest fires in the district average is 79 %, which is 10% lower than the five-year average value . The main decrease of the indicator occurred in the Republic of Bashkortostan ( 41% ) of the Kirov region ( 43%) and the Nizhny Novgorod region ( 17%).

Department carries out constant monitoring of fire hazards in the forests of the subjects of the Volga region , as well as the efficiency of decision -making bodies of the executive power necessary to ensure fire safety in the woods.
