About the forest fire situation in the Volga Federal District

According to the press service of the Forestry Department in the Volga Federal District , from the beginning of the fire season (as of July 9, 2013 ) on the territory of forest land PFD recorded 474 forest fires in the area of 865 ha. The average area of one fire is 1.8 hectares
Within the county there is one case of a transition forest fire in the category of large ( in Perm 01.06.2013 an area 29.6 ha).
Most forests are burning noted in the Perm region , Kirov , Nizhny Novgorod region of the Udmurt Republic and the Republic of Bashkortostan - the share of the data subjects of the Russian Federation accounted for 76 % ( 359) in number and 91% ( 790 ) over the area of forest fires occurred in the county.
This year, forest fires are not permitted in the forest land in the Republic of Tatarstan and Chuvashia .
In comparison with the same period of last year has been an increase in the number of occurrence of fires 2 times ( 2012 - 223) , with the area covered by fires increased by 44% ( area traversed in 2012 598 hectares). The average area of a fire in 2012 was 2.7 hectares, which is 1.5 times more than in the current year .
Efficiency of forest fires in the district average is 79 %, which is 10% lower than the five-year average value . The main decrease of the indicator occurred in the Republic of Bashkortostan ( 41% ) of the Kirov region ( 43%) and the Nizhny Novgorod region ( 17%).
Department carries out constant monitoring of fire hazards in the forests of the subjects of the Volga region , as well as the efficiency of decision -making bodies of the executive power necessary to ensure fire safety in the woods.
