The autumn stage of the environmental action “Clean forests of Tatarstan” has started in the republic
Today, the autumn stage of the environmental action “Clean forests of Tatarstan” has started in the republic. It will last until November 13th.
As part of the autumn stage of the action, the territory of the forest fund of the republic will be cleared of solid municipal waste, dead wood and fallen trees, as well as the repair and arrangement of full houses, information boards and recreation areas in the forest.
The work will be carried out by specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, organizations, enterprises of the republic, representatives of environmental associations, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, volunteers.
Recall that the Republican environmental campaign “Clean forests of Tatarstan” has been held since 2010. Its main goal is to create a favorable sanitary and environmental situation in the forests, to form an ecological culture and foster a caring attitude towards nature, to unite the initiatives of citizens, organizations, enterprises and government bodies in environmental protection.
According to the results of the spring stage of the “Clean forests of Tatarstan” campaign, which took place from April 18 to June 18 of this year, 2.4 thousand cubic meters of solid domestic waste were collected and removed from the forest fund of the republic, 3.2 thousand cubic meters were piled up for rotting dry wood and deadwood. Also, the specialists of the forest industry have repaired more than 750 full houses, information boards and places of recreation for citizens living in the forests.
