TOP 100 friends of the forest: ECA invites you to participate in the Forum of Forest Volunteers
The ECA movement has opened the acceptance of applications for participation in the All-Russian Forum of Forest Volunteers. Representatives of the TOP-100 forest initiatives selected by an expert jury will meet in December 2022 in Moscow. They will improve knowledge and skills in the field of forest volunteering, exchange experience in active care for the forest and form an asset of the interregional community fighting for the conservation of forests.
Forest volunteers, researchers, as well as representatives of volunteer associations and non-profit organizations that have contributed to the conservation and restoration of forest areas in 2021-2022, aged 18 to 35, can become participants in the forum.
To take part in the competitive selection, it is necessary to tell about your forest project or achievements in the field of forest volunteering by November 15, 2022 by filling out a short questionnaire on the website: lesnoyforum.info.
On November 20, an expert jury will select the 100 best initiatives.
The winners will receive a ticket to the All-Russian Forum of Forest Volunteers, including accommodation, meals, access to educational and entertainment programs. The organizers partially compensate the forum participants for travel expenses.
The All-Russian Forum of Forest Volunteers will be held on December 3-4. Participants will dive into 4 main topics: fire fighting, reforestation, tourism and forest protection. Theoretical blocks will be supported by practical tasks, and the educational program will be interspersed with master classes, networking and excursions. The lecturers of the forum will be representatives of the fire department, coordinators of the all-Russian reforestation service, heads of environmental organizations, experts in the field of forestry and employees of government agencies involved in specially protected natural areas.
