Forum “Forests of Russia” started in Krasnoyarsk
Today in the city of Krasnoyarsk the forum “Forests of Russia” started. The forum is attended by representatives of regional forest departments, public and volunteer organizations, the timber industry and the scientific community, students and rectors of specialized universities, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The focus of the event is the support and development of the forest industry.
Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Anoprienko, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov and others spoke at the plenary session of the forum.
“Preservation of Russia's forests has been and remains a priority for the state. The symbiosis of forestry and the forest industry will make it possible to achieve the KPIs provided for by the timber industry development strategy, the national project “Ecology”, which will be extended until 2030. We must achieve 100% equipping with forest fire and forestry equipment, which will allow by 2030, in accordance with the Decree of the President, to reduce the area of forest fires in each subject of the country by 50%,” Sergey Anoprienko noted.
Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov noted in his speech that the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the leaders in the field of logging, lumber production and pellet production.
“In addition, the region is one of the leaders in the field of reforestation. The region is implementing a whole range of measures for the careful and rational use of forests,” said Ivan Sovetnikov, head of Rosleskhoz.
As part of the plenary session, forestry workers were awarded departmental awards from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Federal Forestry Service and the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The business program of the forum provides for a series of round tables dedicated to the support and development of the forest industry, the implementation of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” and the national project “Ecology”, the digitalization of the forest industry, the impact of forests on the climate, voluntary forest certification and the development of “green” tourism. There will also be a panel discussion on the theme “Career in the forest complex through the eyes of youth” and a seminar on the sale of wood at the exchange auction.
In addition, the Russian championship among fellers “Lesorub-2022” is being held within the framework of the forum. In addition, the specialized exhibition of forestry equipment “Expodrev-2022” is presented to the attention of the audience.
