The autumn silvicultural season of 2022 continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. “This week the harvesting of English oak acorns has begun. One of the first to start work was the specialists of the Agryzsky, Bilyarsky, and Zelenodolsky forestries of the republic,” said the head of the department of forest reproduction and afforestation Timur Galiev. “In total, according to the plan, this year it is necessary to prepare at least 11.5 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species.”
“Also, an inventory of planting material in basic forest nurseries is currently in full swing,” he added. “After analyzing and summarizing the data, it will be known how many seedlings are available for the 2023 silvicultural campaign.”
