In Tatarstan, work on caring for young forests has been completed

In the Republic of Tatarstan, work on caring for young forests has been completed. Following the state assignment for 2022, they were completed on an area of 2.7 thousand hectares.

“Forest management activities such as clarification and clearing were carried out,” said Vasily Chernov, Leading Adviser of the Department of the State Forest Register, Forest Use, and Forest Inventory of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. “In the course of clarification, shrubs and accompanying species shading the main species were cut down, while clearing, the planting density was adjusted and the conditions for tree growth were improved. Thus, high-quality plantings were formed in the forest areas.”
