Specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Nurlatsky Forestry” completed several autumn silvicultural works. Thus, work to supplement forest crops was carried out on an area of 25.7 hectares, and soil preparation for forest crops in 2023 - on an area of 52 hectares.
“Along with this, an inventory of planting material was carried out in the basic forest nursery,” said Olga Zakharova, reforestation engineer of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Nurlatsky Forestry”. “More than 700 thousand seedlings of pine, oak, and birch have been grown this year. This amount will be enough to carry out reforestation and afforestation next year.”
According to her, seeds of the main forest-forming species are currently being harvested.
