Rosleskhoz: forest project documentation will be drawn up according to new requirements

14 October 2022, Friday

Changes to the Requirements for the composition and content of the design documentation for a forest area* came into force on October 3, 2022.

In the updated version, there are several more grounds for which you can get a refusal when approving documentation. For example, a project with violations of the requirements for the formation and change of sites, full or partial intersection of one projected forest area with another. First of all, the changes are aimed at eliminating the contradictions that may arise between forest users at the stage of choosing forest plots.

“Now we are collecting questions that appear in the process of applying the new Requirements. We will send additional clarifications about these changes to the regional forest departments and forest users. Rosleskhoz is open to interaction and communication. We need to be in dialogue to receive feedback. Our key task is to improve and develop legal acts in the field of forest relations,” said Vyacheslav Spirenkov, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency.

Elena Borodavkina, head of the Department for Legal Support and Use of Forests of Rosleskhoz, explained that the term “forest parks” was excluded from the updated version. This is due to changes in the Forest Code of the Russian Federation.**

Another innovation in the document: if the forest user plans to place a linear object on the site, then he does not need to prepare project documentation.
