1.7 million pieces of standard planting material were grown in the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Mamadyshsky Forestry”
The State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Mamadyshsky Forestry” has completed an inventory of planting material in basic forest nurseries. “In total, 1.7 million seedlings have been grown this year, of which more than 1.1 million are pines, 284,000 spruce, 76,000 oak, 35,000 birch, and 134,000 other species,” he said. Forestry director Rail Salakhov. “This amount of planting material is enough for silvicultural work next year.”
According to him, in 2023, on the territory of the forest fund of the Mamadyshsky forestry, work will be carried out on reforestation and afforestation on an area of 53 hectares, addition of forest crops - on 186 hectares.
“In addition, part of the planting material will be used for laying protective forest plantations, as well as organizing the “Garden of Memory” and “Save the Forest” environmental campaigns,” Rail Salakhov added.
