Several autumn silvicultural works have been completed on the territory of the forest fund of the Tetyushsky forestry. “According to the state assignment, work was completed to supplement forest crops on an area of 163 hectares and prepare the soil for next year’s forest crops on an area of 70 hectares,” said Rais Khalitov, director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Tetyushsky forestry”.
According to him, the results of the inventory in the basic forest nursery showed that this year 550 thousand pieces of standard planting material were grown, of which 410 thousand pieces of oak, 51 thousand pieces of pine, and 89 thousand pieces of other species.
Also, since the beginning of 2022, 150 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species have been harvested.
“In total, according to the state task, it is necessary to collect 615 kilograms of seeds,” added Rais Khalitov. “Currently, ash, oak, and birch seeds are being harvested, and 12 people are involved. The plan will be completed on time”.
