In the Republic of Tatarstan, work continues to improve the sanitary condition of forest plantations as part of the state task for 2022. Thus, according to specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of October 24 of this year, work was carried out in the republic to harvest illiquid timber on an area of 1.5 thousand hectares.

Such work has already been completed by specialists from the Alkeevsky, Arsky, Bavlinsky, Bilyarsky, Buinsky, Kaleikinsky, Leninogorsky, Menzelinsky, Nurlatsky, Tetyushsky and Cheremshansky forestry enterprises of the republic.

“The harvesting of illiquid wood is carried out in places where windblows, windbreaks, snow breaks, and other damages are formed in the presence of illiquid wood of more than 90% of the total stock of dead trees,” said Alexei Mosunov, head of the sector for the protection and protection of the forest fund of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. “In total, this year, work will be carried out in the republic to clean up illiquid timber on an area of 2.8 thousand hectares.”
