Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan: in 2022, work was carried out in Tatarstan on reforestation and afforestation on an area of 5789 hectares
The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the work performed on the reproduction of forests in 2022. “In total, reforestation and afforestation were carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of 5,789 hectares,” said Timur Galiev, head of the reforestation and afforestation department. “Of these, within the framework of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology” - on an area of 3619 hectares.”
According to him, also this year, specialists of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry - forestry enterprises - planted protective forest plantations on agricultural land on an area of 1,570 hectares and the territory of the Aznakaevsky municipal district - on 600 hectares. “Within the boundaries of the Aznakaevsky district, such plantings were created at the initiative of PJSC Tatneft as part of the compensation for greenhouse gas emissions,” Timur Galiev added.
