Today, the Ministry discussed the results of the fire season in the forests of 2022 and outlined the tasks for the upcoming period. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, manager of affairs Elmira Shagayeva, heads and specialists of structural divisions of the Ministry, forest fire stations of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”.

Aidar Gaifullin, during his speech, spoke about the work of forest fire stations during a fire hazard period, ground and air patrolling of forests, ongoing campaigning, and explanatory work among the population on compliance with the requirements of fire safety rules in forests. In particular, he said that this year 52 air patrols were carried out with a total duration of 269 flight hours.
“On October 15, the fire season in the forests was officially closed, its duration was 174 days,” Aidar Gaifullin informed. “Over the entire period, 377 thermal points and 245 cases of fires were recorded in areas bordering the forest fund. No forest fires have been registered.”
According to him, an inventory is currently being carried out, and forest fire equipment and firefighting equipment are being put into winter storage.
Rais Gumerov dwelled on the issues of financing, fulfillment of the state task for the protection of forests from fires, etc. He instructed the heads of forest fire stations to ensure the purchase of spare parts, fuels, and lubricants and the training “Tactics and techniques for extinguishing forest fires. Occupational health and safety in extinguishing forest fires”.
Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the results of the meeting. “Thanks to the systematic work of all structures and organizations, as well as the fire-fighting measures taken, we managed to prevent emergencies this year,” he said. “I am sincerely grateful to you for your selfless work and dedication.”
Ravil Kuzyurov gave specialists several instructions related to the purchase of firefighting equipment, forest fire propaganda, etc. “It is necessary to start preparing for the fire season in the forests of 2023 right now,” he stressed. “I ask you to pay special attention to explanatory work with the population.”
