The Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan continues to work on assessing the quality of seeds of forest plants
The Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, a branch of FBU Roslesozashchita, continues to work on checking batches of seeds of forest plants as part of the state assignment for state monitoring of forest reproduction for 2022.
Since the beginning of the year, 173 batches of seeds of forest plants have been checked, including freshly harvested seeds - 72 pieces, stored - 66 pieces, preliminary - 13 pieces, and backfill - 22 pieces.
Freshly harvested seeds were tested in 72 batches with a total weight of 6335.4 kg. The analysis showed that their quality is distributed as follows: seeds of the 1st quality class make up 82% (5166 kg), 2nd - 9% (596.9 kg), and 3rd - 9% (572.5 kg).
Stored seeds of forest plants were tested in 66 batches with a total weight of 1017.5 kg. Their quality is distributed as follows: seeds of the 1st quality class - 54.8% (558.2 kg), 2nd - 22% (223 kg), 3rd - 23.2% (236.2 kg).
