Today, the official opening of the conference “Digital inventory - the future of forest inventory” took place at the Korston-Kazan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. Ilgizar Zaripov, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alla Kondratyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Egle Kutkaite, Head of the Organizational Development Department of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Roslesinforg, Airat Yusupov, and others welcomed the conference participants.
During his speech, Ilgizar Zaripov emphasized the importance of having up-to-date forest inventory materials for improving the efficiency of forest complex management and organizing intensive, continuous, and sustainable forest management.
“Tatarstan is among those regions where up-to-date forest inventory materials are used, their prescription is less than 10 years,” he said. “Based on them, the Geoinformation System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan was developed. Thanks to the support of the President of the Republic, this year the project is being implemented to develop a Digital Database of Forest Fund Lands, to bring the data of the State Forest Register and the Unified State Register into line.”
The First Deputy Minister also noted the need to discuss measures to support young professionals in the forest industry.
“I wish all participants of the conference successful and fruitful work. I am sure that the forum will become an effective platform for a constructive dialogue, development of new ideas, and non-standard solutions to the tasks set,” concluded Ilgizar Zaripov.
Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Alla Kondratyeva noted that Tatarstan is one of the leaders among the regions of the country in terms of digitalization and implementation of youth policy. “Innopolis University, IT park, and even a children's IT park are successfully operating, there are many different grants,” she said. “If you have new ideas, we are ready to consider them and support them. I wish you all successful work.”
The organizer of the conference "Digital inventory - the future of forest management" was the Youth Council of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”. The forum brought together more than 80 people - representatives of the regional divisions of the Youth Council of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”.
The conference program includes a strategic session followed by the development of a road map for the project on transformation and digitalization of the forest inventory system, as well as trainings on Planning, Control and Feedback, and Leader and Team.
