Today, the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District considered the implementation of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology” in 2022. The meeting was chaired by the head of the department Alexander Ornatsky.

The event, which was held via videoconference, was attended by representatives of the forest management bodies of the district, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry.

Opening the meeting, Alexander Ornatsky said that to date, the cash utilization of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” is 97.4%. The indicator of 100% was reached in Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Udmurtia, Mari El, Ulyanovsk, and Penza regions. The lowest rate was recorded in the Orenburg region.

“338 million rubles were allocated for the purchase of machinery and equipment this year,” he said. “Currently, the equipment has been delivered to 7 regions out of 10 planned.”

Alexander Ornatsky instructed the representatives of the regional forest management bodies to complete all the work envisaged by the federal project “Preservation of forests” as soon as possible.

Recall that in 2022, 111.5 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the implementation of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”. These funds were used to carry out reforestation work (89.5 million rubles), and the purchase of forest fire, silvicultural machinery, and equipment (22 million rubles).

During the year, reforestation work was completed on an area of 3.6 thousand hectares, and 13 pieces of equipment and 243 pieces of equipment were purchased.
