In MBOU “Secondary School No. 3” of the city of Menzelinsk, a thematic event “Forest is our wealth” was held. Marcel Khannanov, Deputy Head of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinsky Forestry”, took part in it.
Marcel Khannanov told the students about forests, their most important ecological, economic and social functions, the activities of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions, as well as the rules of conduct in the forest.
“The forest is a priceless gift of nature that requires careful treatment,” he stressed. “Forests support the full flow of rivers, streams, reservoirs, purify the air from dust and soot, and are a source of berries, mushrooms, medicinal plants, and other material values.”
In addition, a concert dedicated to the importance of preserving and increasing forest resources was organized as part of the event. Pupils of the Ecological Patrol association performed with the numbers.
