Operation “Spruce” continues in Tatarstan

Operation El continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, increased patrolling of forest areas was organized to prevent the facts of illegal logging of coniferous plantations.

“Since the beginning of the “Spruce” operation, 3 facts of illegal logging of forest plantations and 1 fact of illegal collection of coniferous paws on the territory of the Leninogorsk, Kaleikinsky, and Tetyushsky forestries have been identified. The damage amounted to 11.4 thousand rubles,” said the head of the department of state control and supervision of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Akhmerov. “The operation will last until December 31, 2022.”

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls that illegal logging and damage to forest plantations entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens from 3 to 4 thousand rubles, officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the person who committed illegal logging will have to compensate for the damage caused to forests, which depends on the type of felled tree and its place of growth, the category of forest protection.

In the event of damage for 5 thousand rubles or more, the legislation provides for criminal liability under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
