Delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the IV All-Russian Convention on Environment Protection held in Moscow

The Convention gathered more than two thousand ecological specialists from all over the country who actively discussed the most important issues in the field of nature protection and the ways of their solution within three days. The Republic of Tatarstan was represented by a delegation of 52 people including representatives of state authorities, municipal establishments, scientists and representatives of public organizations. The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by the Head of the Biodiversity Department Niyaz Khabirov. “I think that the Convention has become one of the most important events of the year 2013 in the Russian Federation in the course of the Year for Environment Protection, where ecological specialists from various Russian regions got a possibility to familiarize and share their experience with regard to nature protection activity. I got an opportunity to participate and speak at three meetings of “round tables” planned by the organizers. I specified what is done in our Republic with regard to the issues of preservation of biodiversity and specially protected natural areas. Suggestions of our delegation were taken into account in the resolution of the section “Preservation of biological and landscape diversity”, said N. Khabirov.
