The Minister Nail Magdeev summarized the results of the year 2013 live on the Radio of Tatarstan

24 December 2013, Tuesday

In the course of the interview with the editorial director of public and political programs of the state radio Yulduz Krepostina the Minister noted that Tatarstan is the only region in the Volga Federal District where no forest fires have occurred for three years in a row. In the outgoing year, forestries started to plant containerized tree seedlings grown at the Forest Selective Seed Center, and they also started to prepare wood for the largest in Europe plant “Kastamonu Integrated Wood industry”. “We are the only region that has managed to find the way out, namely to apply soft-wooded broadleaf timber that is in little demand. This helps us to revive forestry engineering industry of Tatarstan”, emphasized the Minister.

On the eve of the holiday, the issues regarding New Year fir trees and their prices were also touched upon. As it was noted by Nail Magdeev, cutting of fir trees and pines doesn’t have any negative impact on nature, since they are grown on special plantations in nurseries, and the prices for fir trees and pines are rather salable for the citizens of Tatarstan. “Is it really possible to compare the aroma of pine needles and the beauty of a live tree with an artificial one? There are enough of synthetic products around us as it is”, summarized the Minister.
