Results of the events on legal realization of New Year trees to the citizens and protection of coniferous young forest from illegal cutting were summarized at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan

Following the auctions, the State budgetary establishments “Forest” were entitled with the right to realize New Year fir trees at the specialized fairs and fir tree markets on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2013 they realized about 19 thousand pieces of pines and fir trees in the amount of 4 million rubles. Foresters brought fir trees and pines gratuitously to pre-school and school establishments, hospitals and nursing homes.

Preventive measures with regard to protection of coniferous young forest from illegal cutting became relevant during the Pre-New Year period. The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan created 145 mobile groups with participation of 437 state forest inspectors and 197 fellow workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They conducted 361 raids on the territory of the forest fund of the Republic and created 79 posts.

Following the results of the carried out events, 36 protocols were drawn up with regard to illegal cutting of 39 coniferous plantings. The damage amounted to 59,749 rubles, whereof 20 thousand rubles were collected.
