The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, addressed the meeting of the Federal Forestry Agency in Nizhny Novgorod

Administrative offices of the Authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation in Volga Federal District, Department of Forestry, the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District, Administration of the General Prosecutor’s office for the Volga Federal District, the Federal Security Service of Russia, the Volga Regional Center of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Main Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Regional Center, the Volga Interregional Nature Protection Prosecutor’s Office, the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Volga Federal District, subordinate organizations of the Federal Agency of Forestry located within the boundaries of the Volga Federal District, heads of executive authorities authorized in the field of forest relations took part in the on-site meeting.

The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, gave a report on the “Use of low-grade wood in the Republic of Tatarstan”, where he, in particular, emphasized implementation of wood processing complex in the forestry of the Republic in Saby Municipal District introduced in 2013, along with the plant “Kastamonu Entegre” in the special economic zone “Alabuga”. In order to solve the problem of the use of low-grade wood it was necessary to deal with preparation and transportation of wood. For that matter, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan purchased high-tech timber cutting complexes of “Komatsu” company, and a logistics structure, namely Forest transportation company was created.

Before the meeting, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan presented products of the Forest Selection and Seed Production Center.
