The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the church in honor of the Nativity of the Saint John the Forerunner in village Albay of Mamadysh municipal district

The church was rebuilt after deliberate burning in autumn 2013. A new temple is not a ringer of the old one, but they look alike. The project of the new church was coordinated with the Tatar metropole of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The temple was erected owing to the support of the government of the Republic, companies and population of the district, including 3 million rubles that were allocated on the order of the President of Tatarstan, while wooden blockhouses for the church were executed by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
