A meeting of the Permanent Commission for Rare and Threatened with Extinction Animals, Plants and Fungi entered into the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan

Members of the Commission – fellow workers of the Institute for the Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department for Protection and Use of Wildlife Objects of the Republic of Tatarstan, Federal State Autonomous Educational Establishments of Higher Professional Education “Kazan (Volga) Federal University” and the Federal State Budgetary University “Volga-Kazan State Nature Biosphere Reserve” were present at the meeting held under the chairmanship of Acting Minister Kharis Musin. Review of matters related to specification of status of several rare species and elaboration of the third issue of the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan.
