In 2015 the hundreds illegal fishing gears were taken away by the State Environmental Protection Inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan

Cheap synthetic nets with small meshes, which are sold in the markets, “occupied” the rivers of Russia, as evidenced by the statistical reports of the public oversight authorities and the aquatic biological resources authorities. And the Republic of Tatarstan is not an exception. Over the last years, the inspectors of the state nature sanctuaries have taken away and destroyed more than a thousand illegal nets on the specially protected natural reservations of the Republic of Tatarstan.
