Issues on carrying out of young growth tending, withdrawal of timber cutting areas and cutting of mature and old-growth timber were discussed at alignment meeting in Menzelinsk forestry

Alignment meeting with participation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan – A.A.Nazirov, Head of Muslyumovskiy municipal district – R.Kh.Mullin, as well as Managers – Foresters and Directors of subordinate authorities of the Ministry was held in the premises of State Public Institution “Menzelinsk Forestry”.

By the example of Muslyumovskiy district forestry the issues of work arrangement on young growth tending, withdrawal of timber cutting areas for improvement cutting and cutting of mature and old-growth timber, forest plantation development in State forest resource and technical documentation keeping were considered.

During the meeting the Minister noted that in this spring foresters of Menzelinsk forestry carried out planting of forests at the area of about 140 hectares: “It is one of the greatest measures in the republic. But our mission is not only to create forest plantations. “The land needs care!”, as the saying goes. The same is with forests! Among the basic principles of forest legislation are the following: protection and conservation of forests, provision of multipurpose, rational, constant and sustainable use of forests, reforestation, improvement and forests capability increasing. For implementation of these principles it is required to fulfill all volumes of forests preservation, protection and afforestation”.  

Within the framework of the meeting the foresters also reviewed forest nurseries, areas of forest fir-tree plantations of the year 2017 with mechanized care conducting, got acquainted with technology of cutting areas deflection for clean cutting of mature and old-growth timber, as well as conducted analysis of wood logging by timber logging complexes “Amkador” and got acquainted with technology of selective salvage cutting by timber logging complexes Harvester + forwarder.
